The Nire moved a step closer to retaining their senior football title with a 2-6 to 0-8 win against Ballinacourty at Fraher Field last night.
In freezing conditions, goals either side of half time from Conor Gleeson and Dermot Ryan proved the difference between the teams.
The Nire will face Clashmore in a semi final play-off match next Tuesday night.
Manager Benji Whelan said that it was a hard earned victory, claiming the goal before half-time proved to be crucial
