De la Salle claimed a third successive Eastern U-21 A Hurling Championship title yesterday with a narrow win over old rivals Ballygunner in Dunhill.
The sides were level, 0-7 apiece at half-time and it was nip and tuck right throughout the second period as well but it was the Gracedieu outfit who recorded a win by the narrowest of margins.
Final score, De la Salle 0 - 16 Ballygunner 1 - 12.
Shane Ryan received the man of the match award.

De la Salle will now face Abbeyside for the second staright season in the County Final in the New Year.
