Brendan Cummins believes Waterford can challenge strongly again this season

Special Guest at last Saturday night's WLR / Granville Hotel GAA Awards, Brendan Cummins praised the influence of Waterford hurler Jamie Barron who was crowned the overall winner at the gala banquet in the Granville Hotel.

Jamie put in a few sterling performances at midfield for the Déise last season with his pace and goal scoring ability proving crucial in Waterford's unforgettable Championship victories over Kilkenny and Cork.

Former Tipperary All-Ireland winning goalkeeper Brendan Cummins says there was great array of talented players on the night.

Brendan says Jamie is a very down to earth individual, claiming the Fourmilewater shows great ability to get in goal scoring positions.
