Waterford native Síle Penkert has been appointed Executive Director of Garter Lane Arts Centre.
Síle has extensive experience in community, youth and professional theatre, having previously worked with Waterford Youth Arts, Spraoi, Garter Lane and Red Kettle Theatre Company in performance, direction and technical roles.
Most recently she was the Arts Project Co-ordinator with Carlow County Council.
Síle replaces Caroline Senior who moved on from the role of Artistic Director in December, and will take up the role in March.
