Waterford FC have moved into clear second place on the Premier League table following a two nil victory over St Patrick’s Athletic at the RSC last night.
Waterford took the lead after ten minutes. Paul Keegan took a corner kick from the left and Kenny Browne headed powerfully to the net from six yards range.
Izzy Ikanade who was voted man of the match thought he had scored on 34 minutes. The visiting goalkeeper Barry Murphy lost his bearings , but it was judged that the blues striker had carried the ball over the end line before he actually walked the ball into the net.
Bastien Hery scored one of the greatest goals ever seen at the RSC on 61 minutes. He let fly with his right foot from 35 yards.
