Many people across Waterford are treating today's snowfall as a chance to break out their skis, sleighs, snowboards and toboggans.
The city and county's hilly areas have been transformed into makeshift pistes.
"I've been (skiing) in Austria and France a few times," said Waterford woman Olive Ruane who was out on the Williamstown Road today.
"I didn't get to go this year, but this is definitely a bonus... I live in Grantstown and I tried to get out but I was up to my waste in snow so I reckoned I'd chance the ski slopes here on the Williamstown Road."
