Boil water notices lifted in Waterford

Boil water notices that were in place for Waterford have been lifted.

Customers on the Ballyguiry, Melleray, Ballyknock, Grallagh, Carrigeen, Comeragh and Knockalisheen Public Water Supply Schemes can use their tap water as normal again.

Irish Water and Waterford County Council wishes to notify consumers that following the receipt of satisfactory monitoring results, on the advice of the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and the Council are now in a position to remove the boil water notice with immediate effect.

Everyone on the Melleray Public Water Supply Scheme can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

The Irish Water Customer Contact Centre (1850 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to this water notice. Further information is available on the Irish Water Website www.water.ie.

Irish Water and Waterford City and County Council acknowledge the patience, cooperation and assistance of the general public during the period of the boil water notice and greatly regret any inconvenience caused to householders and the business community.
