Darkness Into Light launched in Waterford

Registration is now open for the 2018 Darkness into Light walk.

The 5km event is Pieta House's flagship annual fundraising and awareness event. It started with approximately 400 people in the now iconic yellow DIL T-shirts walking the 5km course in Dublin’s Phoenix Park in 2009. This year, they will have roughly 180 Darkness Into Light venues across Ireland and worldwide. Last year 180,000 people shared the light and helped Pieta House to promote suicide prevention and to tackle the stigma that leads people to the doors of Pieta House centres.

This year's walk will take place on Saturday 12th May at 4.15am in Waterford City, Dungarvan and Carrick-on-Suir along with many other venues both in Ireland and abroad.

Participants are asked to register online in advance as cash will not be accepted on the night. You can register here
