Waterford Auctioneer says property market is in crisis mode.

Waterford Auctioneer says property market is in crisis mode.

A Waterford auctioneer says she's not surprised that people have been queuing since Monday to secure a deposit on a home in Dublin.

24 three and four bed houses on the outskirts of Clonsilla go on sale at twelve noon today.

Regina Mangan from Liberty Blue Estate Agents says we're in crisis mode with Dublin most affected by the shortage in housing and the rising prices that people cannot afford.

She says the various government incentives mean that first time buyers are purchasing new houses because there is some affordability and there is set prices in that market.

The second hand market, she says, people are being outbid and prices are rising and rising.

She says you can't compare the Waterford market with the Dublin market.

Liberty Blue she says is not selling any new houses because there's only a very small number of new homes being built with the developers selling them themselves.
