LISTEN BACK: Contents of the car will be very important to finding out what happened to 24-year-old Jastine

A Senior Ex-Garda of Operation Trace- which was set up to focus on the unsolved disappearance of Irish females, has said that the contents of the car that Mark Hennessy was driving on Saturday evening will be important in finding out what happened to Jastine.

Speaking to Eamon, Ex-Garda Detective Sergeant Alan Bailey said the Wicklow man wasn't concerned about being caught.

"If there are ties and things like that in the car or maybe a knife, other than the knife than that he used (against a Garda). All of those things will go along way towards suggesting the question of what happened."

Mr Bailey who described killer Mark Hennessy as "cool and calculated" explained that the examination of his partner's car he was using at the time will tell a lot, to be sure whether his victim Jastine was just "random sampling".

"Was it just pure chance or had he something in the car, was he prepared to tie up the victim and hold her as a prisoner somewhere."

The former national coordinator for the specialist Garda task force believes that the fact the Killer took his partners car and not his own could have some relevance.

"If his own car is smaller than his partner's car, would there be more space to abduct and girl and put her into the back of the car. There is an awful lot of imponderables that would need to be followed up.
