Noel Hunt officially unveiled as new Waterford FC player and assistant manager

Former Republic of Ireland international, Waterford-born Noel Hunt was officially unveiled as Waterford FC's new player and assitant manager today.

Hunt has plied his trade in Scotland and England, with clubs including Wigan, Ipswich, Reading and Dundee United.

Speaking to WLR's Matt Keane at this morning's press conference, Noel Hunt said he's looking forward to getting started with his hometown club.

He told Matt that he's been working hard on getting into coaching, and was full of praise for the Blues' team spirit.

The General Manager Waterford FC says the signingof Noel Hunt is massive for the club as the Blues aim to consolidate their spot in the European places.

Waterford are in 3rd position heading into tonight's Munster derby against Cork City in the Airtricity League Premier Division.

Noel Hunt has joined his home-town club as a player and assistant manager and Jack Power says it's a great moment for the club.

Speaking to WLR's Matt Keane Jack says it's really exciting times for Blues supporters.

Jack is hoping discipline on the pitch can improve over the next few weeks.
