The world famous Mount Congreve gardens and estate in County Waterford are now open to the public 7 days a week.
The summer season will see the spectacular venue open from 11am to 5:30pm from Monday to Sunday.
“We’re delighted to be able to do that,” says Estate Manager Ray Sinnott, “because there are a lot more people coming from the Greenway passing through now. It’ll allow us to become better known to a national audience.
Waterford City and County Council took over the management of Mount Congreve earlier this year.
Ray says the move is allowing them to realise their potential.
“They obviously have such a wide range of skill sets that we can rely on for advise, but they are still at arms length to us, so we still have a lot of autonomy.”
