LISTEN BACK: Where did it all go wrong? Waterford Senior Hurlers will bow out of 2018 championship this weekend in Thurles

On the back of a demolishing defeat by Limerick at the weekend, it was clear to see the passion and heart of Waterford  GAA in Gaelic Grounds didn't sore.

Due to the new format and the county board deciding that Waterford's home ground was not sufficient during the championship due to health and safety concerns and capacity limits, the team were forced to travel to Limerick or Thurles as a result.

This mixed with an impressive Shannonside and emotionally wrecked and defeated Waterford, led to the crushing defeat of 13 points.

None the less the Déise kept their strength and unity to the end, something which Manager Derek Mcgrath has brought to the team.

Former Waterford Player Eoin Kelly spoke to Eamon about the lads crushing defeat and what went wrong, including the issue of the team being provided with the correct facilities to develop.

Waterford will now go on to finish their season in Semple Stadium this coming Sunday against Cork where Waterford's, Michael "Brick" Walsh will break the record for the most championship appearances.
