Bonmahon Coast Guard carried out an unusual rescue this week.
The volunteer crews were called out on Monday when a young colt fell from a cliff and onto a ledge.
They lowered climbers down to the horse, now named Cliff, who brought him to safety.

Waterford Animal Welfare took the colt into their care and he was reunited with his mother yesterday.
Waterford Animal Welfare were concerned that the baby colt (Cliff) needed the extra care that only his mam could provide. A call was made this morning and following discussions we were allowed to collect the mam and deliver her to a pining baby. The video says it all. Again a big thank you to our friends at My Lovely Horse Rescue.
