Shanahan predicts a Galway-Cork final
Dan Shanahan believes that provincial winners Galway and Cork will prevail in this weekend's All Ireland semi finals at Croke Park.
On Friday's Lár na Páirce show on WLR, Shanahan rated the Tribesmen as number one. "They're the benchmark. Whoever will beat Galway will win the All Ireland."
He thinks that the Rebels will learn from last month's draw with Limerick and get the better of the Shannonsiders on Sunday. "Cork left it very open in the drawn game. With the extra man, their full back line was exploited. Their management will learn from that. They might sit a bit deeper and not give the space to the Limerick forwards."
In Shanahan's view, Clare forward John Conlon is the current frontrunner for hurler of the year. "He has been outstanding all year, he has made Clare tick."
