First ever Munster Minor 'A' Camogie title for Waterford following last night's victory over Cork

Waterford are Munster Minor A camogie champions after a hard earned 2-11 to 1-11 win over Cork in Fermoy last night.

Two goals from Abby Flynn put them seven points clear after 16 minutes but Cork fought back strongly in the second half.

Seven points by Kaiesha Tobin and a player of the match performance by Kate Lynch helped the Déise to a historic victory.

Speaking to WLR's Tomás McCarthy after the game, Manager Kevin Barry said that hard work was the key to their success.

He said that they started training for this championship last winter.

Kevin says they did well to build up the lead early on.

Waterford captain Shauna Fitzgerald was thrilled to lift the Munster cup.
She said that Kate Lynch was superb at centre back.
