Waterford lose out to Tipp in All-Ireland Senior Camogie Quarter Final

Reporting by Tomás McCarthy.

Waterford are out of the All-Ireland Camogie Championship as Tipperary prevailed in last night's quarter final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Tipp raced seven points up after 20 minutes but a goal by Beth Carton left the Deise only four behind at the break.

Waterford started the second half strongly with points from Lorraine Bray and Niamh Rockett but a late Cáit Devane goal put Tipp through to the last four.

Manager Donal O'Rourke admitted that his side got off to a slow start.

"Tipp kinda just bullied us in the first quarter," he said, "that doesn't happen to us."

The pace lifted as Waterford settled into the game, but the women in white and blue were unable to find the critical score to turn the tide in their favour.

Final Score Tipperary 1-14 Waterford 1-7.
