Waterford Premier League kicks off

The Waterford Premier League got up and running last night when Southend United played Hibernians.

Hibernians secured a 4-0 victory in Mitchell Kennedy Park. Mark O'Keeffe led the way with a hat-trick and Gary Keane also got his name on the score sheet for the home side.

There are three games down for decision this evening.

Waterford Crystal will play their first home game in their new ground - the former Bolton pitch this evening. They play host to the Villa with kick off at 6:30pm.

At the same time newly promoted Tramore Rangers play their neighbours Tramore AFC in the Orchard.

And Dungarvan Utd and Ferrybank Utd will clash in Kilrush Park at 7:00pm.

Champions Carrick Utd will get the defense of their title underway tomorrow night. They face Bohemians in Tom Drohan Park.
