The Waterford based division of the Irish Coast Guard have assisted in the recovery of a fisherman who got into difficulty 150 miles off the Irish Coast.
Rescue 117 was called into action before midday, when they were alerted to a medical emergency aboard a fishing vessel.
The man was transferred to the ambulance service upon reaching Waterford, and is in a serious but stable condition at UHW.
