Gardaí in Waterford are investigating following the seizure of suspected illegal drugs worth over approximately €52,000 euro in the city on Friday afternoon.
A vehicle was stopped and searched at Grannagh at around 2 o'clock after suspicious activity was spotted by an off duty garda.
Two buckets of loose suspected D10 (benzodiazepin) tablets and a brown cardboard box of prescription drugs were found.
A second car was also seized in a nearby location.
Four men aged in their late 20s (25yrs, 26yrs, 26yrs, 29yrs) from Waterford City were arrested under the provisions of Section 2- Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) 1996.
They have since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The suspected illegal drugs have been forwarded to the Forensic Laboratory for analysis.
