Listen back: "The Mental" is the third in the Barrow Trilogy and comes to Garter Lane on October 6th

The trilogy began with "Corner Boys," then "Lucinda Sky," and now John MacKenna has penned a third play set along The Barrow river - "The Mental."

John, who also acts in the play, tells Mary he has been fascinated by the psychiatric facility in his home town since he was a child, and this is what inspired the play.

Director of "The Mental," Angela Keogh was also in studio.
