Clonea hoping to make it back to back titles when they take on Erin's Own this afternoon

Walsh Park plays host to the Eastern Intermediate hurling Championship Final this afternoon.

It's a repeat of last year's decider as defending champions Clonea take on Erin's Own.

Both sides have been impressive in their march to the Final, and recorded big semi-finals wins over Ballyduff Lower and Dunhill respectively.

Clonea are under the stewardship of former Waterford hurler Brian Green, he told WLR Sport it promises to be a closely fought Final.

Brian says he's hoping to his charges can deliver another big performance this afternoon.

Erin's Own Chairman, Noel Kelly says they're work at underage level has paid off in recent years.

Throw-in is at 3:15pm, it'll be preceded by the Eastern Intermediate Football Championship clash between St. Saviour's and Bunmahon at 1:30pm.

Elsewhere today, Fraher Field stages a vital game in the Co. Senior football Championship this evening.

Ardmore and Portlaw meet in the relegation play-off with the winners retaining their top flight status for 2019, while the losers will get one final chance against Dungarvan, that one is underway at 7pm.
