A man has pleaded guilty to murdering a mother of four in Waterford city last year.
The body of Samantha Walsh was found in an apartment at Thomas Court, Thomas Street in Waterford, on 28 April 2017.
The 31-year-old, originally from Lisduggan in the city, was the mother of four children.
30-year-old Danny Whelan of no fixed address was arraigned this morning at the Central Criminal Court.
He pleaded guilty to the murder of Ms. Walsh and is expected to be sentenced on Friday the 5th of October, after the court hears victim impact statements.
He faces a mandatory life sentence.
