Hundreds of people are expected to take part in today's event, which kicks off from Gladstone Street at 12.30pm before finishing with a family fun day in the People's Park.
This is the first year of the new 10k route to coincide with the cancer support service's 10th anniversary.
Client Services Coordinator Claire Shanahan says they're always looking to progress in order to stay relevant to those using their service.
She hailed the impact of fundraisers like the 'Run & Walk For Life'.

"It's such an unbelievable celebration of community," she said, speaking about today's event, "a celebration of people's power to succeed. It's people rallying together to be the strongest force they can be."
