The Department of Agriculture will hold a ‘NeighbourWood’ Scheme information day in Dunmore East tomorrow.
The event starts at the Haven Hotel at 10am and will include a visit to Dunmore East Woods and Park.
The ‘NeighbourWood’ Scheme is a funding package aimed specifically at supporting local authorities and communities in the development of local woodland amenities.
The Department, provides grant aid of up to 85% of the cost of various developments, including the installation of walking trails, nature boards, parking and the creation of new woodland.
The information day will include case studies of projects presented by the key people involved.
