Waterford FC have wished their player assistant manager all the best as he continues his managerial career at Swindon Town.
Manager Alan Reynolds said Noel was a pro on and off the field and he thanked him for playing a big part in helping his hometown club qualify for Europe.
Sky Sports has reported that former Irish international Hunt will be an assistant manager at Swindon with Richie Wellens set to be named manager at the Leauge 2 outfit.
Last June Waterford FC signed Noel Hunt as player/assistant-manager.
He had played at the RSC in the early 2000’s before going on to represent the Republic of Ireland senior international side and play in the English Premier League with Reading.
Noel spent time in Scotland with Dunfermline Athletic and Dundee United before earning a move to Reading where he secured promotion to the Premier League; and went on to make 24 appearances.
He then played for Wigan Athletic, earning promotion to the Championship.
