A number of Waterford properties up for public auction attracted interest from both inside and outside the County yesterday.
They were being sold by the executor of the estate of the late John McGrath, who had been engaged in business in the UK.
Auctioneer John Rohan says 54 John St and behind it Unit 1 Parnell Court which were both are let to Bodega Restaurant was purchased by
the Cronin Family, who run Bodega, for 380 thousand euro.
Bidding on 52, John Street, which operates as Alan's barber shop opened at 90 thousand, went on the market at 125 and sold for 195 thousand euro.
The room was packed for the auction in which a mid-terrace property divided into four apartments at 68 O'Connell Street, went on the market at 210 thousand
and sold for 255 thousand euro.
