Gardai in Waterford arrested 25 people yesterday as part of a targeted Operation Thor.
They were detained for theft, robbery, burglary and assault as well as domestic and court related offences.
Despite the bad weather 20 large scale crime prevention and intelligence gathering checkpoints were also carried out across Waterford City.
A number of road traffic detections were made and two cars were seized for no insurance and tax.

72 summons were served and 13 people charged during the course of the day.
54 proactive policing patrols were carried out and two premises searched as part of drug warrants.
