De La Salle College in Waterford say they are dealing with an incident which was recorded in the School on Monday which showed a pupil being
bullied by another boy in his class.
The incident was filmed by another student and posted on social media and was then widely shared.
Principal Margaret Betts says the incident is being treated with the utmost seriousness by school management
and is being investigated in compliance with the appropriate school policies and procedures.
The parents concerned have been contacted and they have been given an assurance that this incident will be investigated as a matter of urgency.
The Board of Management of De La Salle College have a scheduled meeting tonight and this incident will be on the agenda.
The Board say they remain committed to upholding the highest standards of behaviour in line with their mission statement and ethos.
