Gardaí in Waterford are investigating a fatal road traffic accident that happened near Ardmore in the early hours of this morning
The two vehicle collision, involving a car and a lorry, happened on the N25 near Bawnard at approximately 4.30 a.m.
A man in his 20's who was the sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, where his body remains this morning.
The male driver of the lorry was removed to University Hospital Waterford with non life threatening injuries.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic is being diverted through Ardmore.
