The overall winner of the 2018 WLR / Granville Hotel GAA Award will be revealed this evening at a Gala Banquet in the Granville Hotel.
Eleven monthly winners are in contention for the overall accolade which will be presented by special guest, ten-time All-Ireland hurling winner with Kilkenny Henry Shefflin.
In a sparkling career, Sheffline also claimed thirteen Leinster Championship medals, six National hurling league medals, and a record eleven All Star awards.
He was also hurler of the year on three occasions, and captured three All-Ireland club titles with Ballyhale Shamrocks whom he currently manages/
Speaking to WLR Sport, Henry says he was fond memories now of looking back at those All-Ireland wins with the Cats.
Henry is looking forward to Ballyhale's clash with Ballygunner in next month's All-Ireland club hurling semi-final.
