A protest was held in Waterford City this afternoon against government repression in Sudan.
Three weeks of demonstrations have left 22 people dead across the North African country.
The demonstrations, which began on the 19th of December, were sparked by rising food prices and cash shortages, they have since developed into opposition over the 30-year regime of the president.
Dozens of people gathered at the Millennium Plaza in Waterford City early in solidarity with the Sudanese people.
