Boy dies in West Waterford accident

The community of Old Parish is in shock following the death of a teenager in the west Waterford village yesterday afternoon.
It's understood the 15 year old suffered critical injuries when a dumper truck he was in overturned.
The incident happened in the townland of Hackettstown in Seanaphobail near Ring shortly after two o'clock.
Gardai and emergency services attended the scene, but it's reported he was pronounced dead before being transferred to Cork University Hospital.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a full post mortem examination is expected to be carried out.
The teen is from the area.
According to local cllr Seamus O'Donnell, the boy attended school in Méanscoil San Nioclás.
He told WLR the whole community was completely in shock and all the local under-age GAA matches were called off last night as a mark of sympathy.
The Health and Safety Authority will also conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic death.
