Swimmers brave the elements to support The Big Christmas Breakfast

A large crowd gathered at the car park of the Guillamene & Newtown Cove swimming club on Saturday to take part in the first ever Big Christmas BreakfastΒ  in aid of St Vincent De Paul.

Fresh Blaas were provided by Walsh's Bakehouse, who celebrate 100 years of the blaa this year, the sausages were from Tramore Butchers and coffee was hosted by Sea Brew.

There was also an array of baked goods supplied by the gang at Waterford fire Station.

The Big Christmas Breakfast was hosted by Vinny & Aoibhin from The Big Breakfast Blaa with special thanks to the Guillamene, Swimming Cove Committee & The Friends of the Guillamene & Newtown Cove.

Music was provided by the fabulous Roy Collins who kept the crowd entertained in the cold.

Over €2,000 was collected from donations and the proceeds from coffee sales will also go to the St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal.
