Damien Tiernan:
Gardai are investigating graffiti that was sprayed onto a wall at a housing estate in Waterford city in the past 24 hours.  The graffiti has the words 'KILL SHINERS". A drawing of a 'gun sight' was also spray-painted onto the wall.
The graffiti was sprayed onto a wall at the Grange Manor housing estate. The local party has made an official report to Gardai in Waterford.
The Sinn Féin spokesperson on Health local TD David Cullinane told WLR that it was a sinister development and a vicious attempt to intimidate his party and working-class communities and it wouldn't be tolerated.
Gardai in Waterford is also investigating if the symbol is a gunsight or is a white supremacist symbol.
He said CCTV in the area is being checked as part of the investigation by the Gardai.
