Tramore woman, Lindsay Malone has praised the role which Further Education and Training can play in the development of increased self-confidence and self-esteem.

Her sentiments coincide with the Age Friendly series running here on WLR, which serve to highlight the importance of continuing personal and professional development.

Lindsay is the Director of Further Education and Training in Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board.

Dymphna Nugent spoke with Lindsay about learners of all ages focusing on their own educational journey, about learners wishing to stay in touch with family overseas via video-calling, and how WWETB have reduced the financial barriers which may serve to limit learners.
