  • Finance and Administration Officer
  • Childcare Practitioner (including p/t supervisory duties) 
  • Childcare Practitioner based at Tiptoes Community Childcare Centre
  • Sláintecare Community Food and Nutrition Worker

Sacred Hear Family Resource Centre has been working with families from across Waterford city over the past 14+ years, providing universal and targeted family supports including Tiptoes Community Childcare Service, Waterford Social Prescribing Service, parenting supports, well-being initiatives, advocacy and advice.

SHFRC1- Finance and Administration Officer (35 hrs per week)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven professional experience (3+ years) in a finance department as relevant to the requirements of the position; (experience of funding compliance and reporting to government bodies desirable)
  • QQI Level 6 Accounts Technician qualifications or equivalent;
  • Experience in payroll and sage accounts essential together with excellent Microsoft programmes, particularly excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • A commitment to complying with health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including fluent English speaker
  • A full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Be flexible and can prioritise effectively

SHFRC2 - Childcare Practitioner (including p/t supervisory duties) (40hrs per week)

Minimum requirements

  • Three years working in Early Years Care and Education. (supervisory experience desirable)
  •  Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education or equivalent.
  • Child-centered focus with a working knowledge of Early years regulations and quality frameworks/Siolta and Aistear
  • A commitment to complying with health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including fluent English speaker.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and can prioritise effectively

SHFRC3-Childcare practitioner based at Tiptoes Community Childcare Centre (assistant role) (27.5hrs per week)

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum of two years working in Early Years Care and Education.
  • QQI /FETAC Level 6 or above in Early Childhood Care & Education or equivalent.
  • Child centered focus with a working knowledge of Early years regulations and quality frameworks/Siolta and Aistear
  • A commitment to complying with health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including fluent English speaker.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and can prioritise effectively

SHFRC4-Sláintecare Community Food and Nutrition Worker (35 hours per week)

Minimum requirements

  • Minimum Level 8 Qualification in Health & Nutrition as below; 
  • BSc Hons Nutrition and Health Science
  • BSc Hons Public Health Nutrition
  • BSc Hons Human Nutrition
  • BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics
  • MSc in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
  • MSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics 
  •  Significant work experience in a role that has involved health promotion and improvement (minimum 1 year, desirable 3+ years)
  • Experience in the area of health behaviour change
  • Experience of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • A commitment to addressing food poverty and reducing health inequalities 
  • A commitment to complying with health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including fluent English speaker.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and can prioritise effectively
