16 hour flight from Auckland to Auckland.

A small fire inside New York JFK’s Terminal 1 led to big consequences with a 16-hour ‘flight to nowhere’ when an Air New Zealand flight from Auckland was forced to return to Auckland after it had already made it halfway across the North Pacific Ocean en route to New York.

The fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday morning and was quickly and safely extinguished, but not before it damaged power systems that left the entire.

Imagine having a fear of flying and ending up in that situation.

Passengers on a British Airways flight from Texas to London  had to leave their seats in mid-flight when a scorpion was spotted loose on the plane. It was unclear if the scorpion was a stowaway or had escaped from a container during transit. Certainly one way of making you forget about your fear of flying for a while!!!!!!
