Waterford Panto Continues.... Yes it does!

Waterford Panto Continues.... Yes it does!

Good news for Waterford Panto goers.  The  Pantomime Society told WLR this morning that evening performances will go ahead despite the new Covid restrictions brought in by the Government last night.

A new 8pm curfew on hospitality, theatre and cinemas comes into effect from Monday along with caps on attendance at indoor and outdoor activities.

Speaking on Saturday Café show, Musical Director of the Waterford Pantomime Society, Wayne Brown told Marie McCann that patrons who had bought tickets for the evening performances will be catered for as they're now moving the 7.30 pm show to the earlier time of 6 pm.

He said this will mean all ticket holders will get to see the show.  In order to get the show in under time they have had to reduce the length of the intervale.  Instead of  twenty minutes, cast and crew will now have 10 minutes to change sets and costumes.  Wayne said taking this step means the show will finish by 7.55 pm with everyone out by 8 pm.

In the true tradition of the theatre the show must go on and it will!
