Appeal issued after two businesses burgled in Waterford

Two businesses in Waterford have been left counting the costs after being targeted by burglars recently.

On Monday January 16th, the Kingfisher Gym on the Tramore Road was broken into.

"A sum of cash was stolen from the till," Sergeant Deirdre O'Neill told this week's Waterford Garda Watch on WLR, "The till was found smashed on the floor.

"If you saw anyone in this area between 10.50pm and 11.10pm, Gardaí would ask you to contact them in Waterford Garda Station."

The second incident happened just two days before, at the Btwenty7 coffee shop on the Cork Road, sometime between 5.15pm on Friday the 13th and 6.15am on Saturday the 14th.

"It was discovered that the front window had been smashed and entry had been gained," Sergeant O'Neill said.

"So, if you were in the area and saw anything suspicious, we would ask you to contact Waterford Gardaí."

The number for Waterford Garda Station is 051 305300.
