Dungarvan and Tramore among Ireland's top 10 seaside towns and villages

Dungarvan and Tramore have been recognised among Ireland's top ten seaside towns and villages, in a report compiled by Irish Central.

IrishCentral caters to 39 million Irish Americans and 70 million Irish diaspora.

Also included in the list were towns and villages in Sligo, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Galway and Wexford.

The report described Dungarvan as a 'thriving seaside market town'.

"Nestled beneath the Comeragh Mountains in Waterford is a thriving seaside market town, Dungarvan. The town overlooks the beautiful Dungarvan Bay and is a wonderful spot to spend some time while exploring the beauty of the southeast coast."

The website also acknowledged Tramore as the South-East's premier destination for tourists, acknowledging the wealth of activities available to holiday makers.

"Tramore is the southeast’s top destination for holidaymakers and is jam-packed with amenities, from top-class accommodation to Splashworld, surfing, fishing, hiking, horse riding, golf and even an amusement park. In addition to the wonderful surroundings and the great outdoors, there’s a huge amount to do."
