Lismore Boil Water Notice lifted with immediate effect

Lismore Boil Water Notice lifted with immediate effect

The Boil Water notice which has been in place for two weeks affecting customers of the Lismore Deerpark Water Supply in County Waterford has been lifted.

The notice was issued two weeks ago on Friday 17 September as a precautionary measure to protect public health following issues with the treatment process which compromised the disinfection process.

Irish Water say their drinking water compliance and operational experts worked to resolve the situation as quickly and as safely as possible. Following a number of satisfactory water samples and the completion of remedial works at the treatment plant, the Boil Water notice was lifted.

All consumers on the water supply can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.
