Yesterday, temperatures rose to 30 degrees in what was one of Waterford's warmest days on record.

"As long as I'm recording data here in Waterford since 2010, I have never experienced such a prolonged spell of really, really hot temperatures," Michael Kelly of Waterford Weather said.

He also said that yesterday was the hottest day he ever recorded. He noted a temperature of 30.5 degrees in his station in the City.

Michael said that despite the weather warning, storms will be "hit and miss."
