Waterford woman, Eleanor Fox, was named Munster's CAREGiver of the Year for her work with the most vulnerable people in the community.
Home Instead, a care company which provides for over 350 clients in Waterford, runs the annual event to honour caregivers.
Eleanor has worked with Home Instead for 13 years, but had worked in a residential setting for 15 years prior to joining the company. She also spent eight years looking after her mother who had dementia.
Molly Carpenter, Awards Judge and Director of Workforce at Home Instead, said she was "delighted to recognise her outstanding contribution by awarding her the Munster CAREGiver of the Year prize.”
Eleanor currently cares for over 15 clients in Waterford and the surrounding areas.
Steven Tubbritt, General Manager of Home Instead Waterford, nominated her for the award and described her as an "absolute pleasure to work with." He said she "goes way beyond on every service she provides to every client."
