Barbara Scully joined Damien on Wednesday morning to talk about her debut book  Wise Up - Power, Wisdom and  the Older Woman, that was released on Tuesday night.

The book is Barbara's take on life after menopause, and the freedom that comes with it.

It looks at women’s changing role in Irish society, acts as a self-help guide to women navigating menopause, and deals with topics including ageism and sexism.

The book is not specifically about menopause, but Barbara and Damien did discuss the topic.

"It's just a gateway, a portal, it doesn't last forever," she said.

Barbara blends uncomfortable truths with indispensable advice throughout the publication.
