With the unwavering popularity of The Great British Bake Off, the team here in WLR has been talking favourite desserts and sweet treats all week.

On Wednesday's Big Breakfast Blaa Aoibhin made chocolate bars for Vinny, inspired by 'Caramel Week' on GBBO, and he had to guess which bar they most resembled.

Then on Friday's Deise Today, Damien asked listeners the all important question, "What is your favourite dessert?"

Everything from Baked Alaska to chocolate fondant was mentioned.

To keep the conversation going, Damien was joined by Paula Prenderville of Paula's delicatessen on the Park Road in Waterford City. Not only did she discuss desserts with Damien, she also brought in some treats, which included apple tart made by Angela on the team, and some delicious short bread treats too.
