Union Wine Bar Kitchen opening for June Bank Holiday

Union Wine Bar Kitchen is a new restaurant open from Saturday (June 4th) at the former location of the Munster Bar on The Mall (the Munster will still have a presence upstairs).

It's co-owned by Sommelier Morgan Vanderkamer and Chef Stephen McCardle (partners in life and in business).

I met them both on Monday ahead of the opening and you can listen back on that chat.

Springboard courses available at SETU

South East Technological University (SETU) has secured €9.9m in funding for Springboard courses over the next few years.

Springboard offers free or 90% funded courses in areas of high skills.

To find out more I was joined in studio by Neil Quinlan, head of the Department of Lifelong Learning at SETU.

Pioneering new technology at Dentaltech

I was also joined by Bevin Mahon, co-owner and MD of Dentaltech which will soon open a second premises in Waterford.

The company has unveiled Ireland's first 3D printed dental prosthetics.

Bevin spoke to me about that, and about staff shortages in dentistry.
