The curtain has come down on Spraoi 2022.

Waterford City was buzzing over the last number of days as the festival celebrated it's 30th birthday.

Once again - the highlight was the parade through the city last night and the massive fireworks display on the Quay.

The theme of discordia brought music, colour and vibrancy to the streets of the Deise for the 30th year of the famous festival.

Director of Spraoi TV Honan was thrilled with how this year's festival turned out.

He told WLR that it was a real county wide celebration.

"What was fantastic this year was that we kept meeting people from all over County Waterford. It wasn't just a city thing. We met folks from Dungarvan, Dunhill, Kill, Portlaw and all over the county. It was an amazing week of Waterford city and county putting its' best foot forward."

TV caught up with WLR News earlier to reflect on the fantastic efforts of all involved in making Spraoi 2022 yet another tremendous success.
