Seamus Power has been selected on the Great Britain and Ireland Hero Cup team to play continental Europe in January.
The DP World Tour announced the Hero Cup as a new team match play contest aimed at giving European players experience in the format ahead of potential future Ryder Cup appearances.
Two 10-man teams have been picked by European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and the event will be held at Abu Dhabi Golf Club from January 13th - 15th.

Seamus is joined by Shane Lowry on the GB & Ireland side with Tommy Fleetwood named as captain.
Former Open Champions Fransesco Molinari has been named as Captain of the Continental Europe team.
The tournament will be made up of one session of four balls, one foursome as well as one lot of singles matches.
All of the 20 players will take part in each session of play.
