Power set up for another massive weekend in the Aloha State

It's a story of starting as you mean to continue for Seamus Power this weekend.

The Waterford native shot an opening round of 63 at the Sony Open in Hawaii where he now sits comfortably in a tie for fourth, and just two shots off the lead.

Opening up with a birdie on the first, Power looked keen to set a high pace.

That was followed by solid shooting on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th until he hit a peach of a shot on the fifth.

The sixth saw him improve to three under and his move to the correct end of the leaderboard had really caught fire.

He followed that up with below-par scores at the 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th.

Seamus is going to be back out on the course from 5.40 Irish time this evening, where he plays with the winner of last week's Sentry Tournament of Champions winner Cameron Davis.
